Rain, snow, wind and ice. Not really circumstances that make me leap of joy. Nevertheless myself and the beloved guy hopped on a ferry to Norway so we could travel parts of the country by car. Countless long roads, hundreds of tunnels, infinite horizons and mountains covered in snow. Overwhelming images from day one. Strolling barefoot on the beach at breakfast time and surrounded by an icy coldness by night. In every corner the country looked different, it was so exciting. One moment we are greeted by nice and helpful people and two minutes later absolute solitude surrounded by impressive nature. Never have I felt so safe and comfortable in a country. Never have I loved the rain and the snow and the wind and the ice so much. And never was I so sad to have to go back home.
